Theatre Meets Nature This Summer
Get top instruction in acting & musical theatre in our outdoor amphitheater plus art & nature activities in the beautiful woods of Westmoreland Sanctuary.
In addition to improvisation, monologue, scene and song work, week includes:
outdoor cooking class with lunch, wild discovery, nature, art projects plus knitting for those interested.

Class limited to 12 students due to Covid 19. If it is raining, class will meet indoors and we will follow all safety protocols for small indoor and outdoor gatherings.

Jonathan Cahr
Jonathan Cahr is a musician, teacher, keyboardist, singer songwriter, musical director, actor; with over twenty five years of experience teaching, arranging and directing for choirs, events, musicals and his own recordings. Jonathan’s career spans, Broadway, television, internet, cable and radio. He has performed as an actor and singer for the past two decades. As a songwriter and vocalist his upbeat original Jewish/American music is known and loved by families, schools and organizations worldwide. His band, “The What’s Up Band” has had the pleasure of performing at the Maccabee games in Madison Square Garden, Citifield for Jewish Heritage Day and Celebrate Israel Night, Limmud in England and many other venues. Their alter ego; Jewish parody band “The Shlomones” has gone viral on Youtube with collectively over three hundred thousand hits on their videos.
Denise Simon
Denise Simon is recommended by New York’s top agents, managers and casting directors for her ability to coach young actors without having them look coached. She is the author of Parenting in the Spotlight: How to raise a child star without screwing them up. For ten years, Denise was an associate with Fox Albert Management, one of the leading talent management companies in New York, where she managed such clients as Scarlett Johansson, Academy Award winner Mira Sorvino, Lacey Chabert, and Judy Reyes (NBC’s Scrubs). A graduate of Florida State University with a B.F.A. degree in theatre, Denise has studied acting with such teachers as Wynn Handman, Burt Reynolds and Charles Nelson Reilly. Denise has been the on set coach on the award winning television show, Teen Kids News and Fox’s The Following.
